After he first worked with gouge on a small scale or as a pattern, Christophe Delcourt designed the ORB bench as an even more sculptural approach to gouge. This technique, embraced in the 1930s by interior decorator Jean-Michel Frank and cabinet-maker Adolphe Chanaux, here gives birth to an XL pattern and an artisanal expression that is both subtle and brutalist.
